Um...no...my personal freedom lies in my ability to pursue happiness in my own way. That's the basic principal this entire nation was founded upon. The Government was founded primarily to protect the people and their freedoms, hence the term "Civil Servant." It was not founded to let us dictate how everyone around us should live.

You certainly wouldn't be able to do that with people convincing legislators to pass laws you disagree with?

I agree with anything that promotes freedom. Freedom by definition is "The ability to make ones own decisions." I disagree with anything that would keep people from making decisions about their own lives. Tell me, what do YOU fight for?

Nate:

It's called limited liberty. A person's freedom goes as far as it can without imposing on the freedom of others. In other words, the same thing as you, but we disagree on what constitutes "imposing on the freedom of others" or "making decisions about own lives".
