Bible Study

These are my own Bible devotions and Christian writings. They express interpretations based on my Bible study and logic. If these are an inspiration to you, I am very glad, but please remember that my writings are no substitute for the real thing. If you want to know what God says, consult His word - the Bible. I am capable of error. Please let me know if you think anything here contradicts the Bible in any way.

Creation	I give my theory as to why God created humans and why he created them as they are.
Logic	I briefly discuss the use and limits of logic.
Penalty for Sin	A Dramatization. God is just yet merciful. How can justice be served when God loves those who deserve punishment too much to give them what they deserve?
Prayer	Does God do what He wants to do or does He do what we ask Him to in prayer? It can be hard to understand. I try to explain it.
Lost Loved Ones	We as Christians believe that an afterlife so much better than this life exists, but can we act like it when a loved one dies? It can be difficult.
Sin Avoidance	Temptation is everywhere. You don't have to succumb! You can resist. You can overcome. The Lord has promised us this.
Heaven	What will Heaven be like?
The Wise and Foolish Builders	Though eternal life is a gift of grace from God that comes by faith, true faith inevitably is accompanied by actions of obedience.
Pets and the Bible	Here are some scriptures that could relate to pets. I spent time thinking of these after my cat died.
Better	In times of discouragement, it can seem like God doesn't know what He's doing. However, the real question is whether you know what you're doing.
Discontent but Content	Christians have both discontentment and contentment, but they are in different areas, and both are positive.
They Know Not What They Do	Who was Jesus talking about during his execution when he said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."?
