I dreamt that I was at the doorway to the room that had the stairway at the house on Summit street facing toward the ajoining room closer to the front of the house. I was brushing my teeth, which hypnotized Satan, who was in the form of a dangerous red snake, making him/it unable to attack me. An old man resembling the one from the Karate Kid movies was standing nearby offering his sagely wisdom, "If you continue to brush, the snake cannot harm you."
So, everything went fine until I ran out of toothpaste. After that, the snake chased me up the stairs, and I turned around when I got to the top to see where it was. The snake was lunging toward me when I awoke.
Shortly after this, I resumed the dream another night, right where it left off. Upon the advice of my grandmother, I stood up to the snake, grabbing it as it lunged toward me and throwing it behind me. Then, I ran back down the stairs. It continued chasing me into the front room where the couch was. For some reason, the couch was pulled out from the wall. I went around it from the back, and the snake followed behind me. When I got out from behind the couch, I tried to push it back against the wall to smash the snake but didn't quite get it pushed back far enough.
Instead, the family cat, Checkers, went back behind the couch and killed the snake. Yes, the cat killed Satan.
